Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga ~ 6 Class Series with Kirsten Wilkinson

Are you looking for ways to de-stress?  Do you experience bouts of anxiety, depression, or lethargy?  Are you curious about yoga, but think it will be too difficult or you aren’t flexible enough?  Do you have challenges with mobility, balance, or brain fog?  

If the answer to any of these question is “yes”, then it is time to try restorative yoga.  

Restoring our inner balance, calming our nervous systems, and making space and room to rejuvenate our energy is essential during this time of uncertainty and recovery from current events.  In order to have vitality we must rest and replenish what has been depleted.  

In this 6 week course you will learn and experience shapes and postures that are designed to relax the body and mind.  With the assistance of pillows and blankets, we will explore 4-5 shapes each class that we will settle into for deep emergence into calm and comfort.  Variations will be offered for practitioners with limited mobility.     

The approach of this class is based on both scientific methodology and felt sense experiences.  Kirsten focuses methods, shapes and breath work that encourage relaxation, dissipates stress, and offers the practitioner a choice based practice.
